S2000 STR prep resource
Anyone having to run a different tire in lieu of the R-S3s not being available (255 nor 245)? Tire Rack's prediction is no better than 90 days and when they come quantities will be limited.
This means a different tire for me going into Nationals at Lincoln. My R-S3s are just beyond tread blocks on the outside edges.

- Worn R-S3s - potentially heat cycled, risky, especially if running the practice course and having a co-driver.

- Star Specs - good overall compromise tire, but not as good as R-S3 or R1R depending on conditions.

- R1R - supposedly good on the Lincoln surface, especially if cooler or wet.

- RE11 - $1,000 is more than race tires for stock class, hard to swallow, but an option.

- Other - everything else has been proven to be less, is there some new tire out there?
I decided to see how I like the 245 RS-3's due to the lack of 255's availible, I don't really have enough camber for the 255's anyway so with the better ues of contact patch I may have just as much grip, and the improved transitions sound good. After some testing I will decide what I think and if I like the 255's better, I will order them as soon as they are available and make sure to always have a spare set.
Just started modding my S for STR and had a few simple questions, tried searching through this thread but coulnt really find a definite answer, this thread needs some work!
Would a eBay PU AP1 factory replica lip be legal? (unpainted is that matters)
And is there a legal way to adjust vtec rpm engage STR legal for an 02 AP1?
