what's the story on the 6UL wheels. I guess I wasn't around when they were first being talked about, but I can't seem to find them anywhere.

As for the RPF1s, I wanted to find one and see if I could convince myself that milling 10mm off the face would be ok, but I like to live dangerously.
If your planning on running a competitive amount of camber in the -2/-3 range then the RPF1 in 9+45 will give you no issues with a fender trim/roll with 255's. There is plenty of guys running these up front too but you likely will want to run the 235/40/17. Hard to beat the rpf's for the cost/weight. There is 100 pages of guys running this wheel in different configurations/tire set ups in the rpf1 thread. Some you couldn't get away with on the track but after about 10 pages you will figure out what will work for you.

Nobody here is going to downsize to a 235 front tire.

Then stuff a 255. Where there is a will there is a way. 9/45 offset isn't out of the realm.

So My front wheels are currently 8inches wide and +48 offset... I am going to wait on upgrading my wheels but I am doing suspension in the spring. What is the widest tire you all think I could fit upfront assuming I am willing to run a lot of camber etc... I figure I can almost definitely run a 235, but Im curious if I could squeeze a 245 or something in there, I have 225's on them now and putting them on Exhaust_Note's car (stock shocks, way too low on espelier's, 2 degrees negative camber up front IIRC) we got some extremely minor rubbing when the suspension was very compressed, I figure since I wont be as low and will have a stiffer setup that 235's should not be a problem, Any opinions?

put a 255 on the 8's. last year when i was dicking around locally in my 07, i had a 235 888 on the stock 7" wheel. it was pinched, but it worked fine.

IM sure a 255 will fit on an 8in wheel but im not sure a 255 will fit my fenders with a 48 offset... IM sure if I get a camber kit and run like 3 degrees of camber ill tuck the 245 fine. I just did all the trig... maybe Ill run through all the trig again and see if I can figure out how much camber Id need to tuck the 255's.

Yes it is. Why anyone would want to make the car 2" wider than it needs to be is beyond me.

You can't fit those wheels with a 255 on them and stay within ST rules. No trimming or flaring of fenders is allowed. No bumper tab relocation.

I’m really liking my widened RPF1s. With a 5mm spacer and 245s, I haven’t even touched the fender lip yet. Once I get bump-travel sorted on my rear shocks, I don’t expect to be able to get my low-profile jack under the car, it’ll be so low.

Glad to see Chris Travis jumping on the STR gravy train. It’s only November, and it’s looking like STR at nationals is going to be an impressive battle.
