S2000 STR prep resource
^^ OK, so with my Mechanical Engineering Major Fiancee's help, I managed to work through all the trig... It would take about -2.9deg of negative camber to squeeze in a 245 tire and -3.8 to get a 255 in... Not sure if I can get -3.8 even with a camber kit lol. Plus Im not sure if -3.8 would be too much and defeat the purpose of the extra tire over a 245... any thoughts?

^ That takes money... I could to wheels instead of suspension, but I already have Terrible wheel lift. Wheels will come eventually, but I feel at the moment that the suspension is holding the car back more. I just dont have the money to do everything at once. It is going to take time for me to save up and do things piece by piece. in another year or two, sure Ill be able to upgrade to some better wheels, but it just isn't in the cards right now. I honestly think that the suspension will help more right now than the wheels.
Having 9inch wheels with 255s in the front will help more than upgrading your suspension. The S2k is competitive in stock class with R-comps and a FSB, so the stock suspension can more than handle the tires/wheels. The suspension isn't gonna help as much as you think with the small wheels/tires up front. If you're getting wheel lift and don't have/can't afford a FSB, you can take the ghetto approach and disconnect the rear sway.
I'm broke as hell, so I plan on starting exactly like I mentioned. Other than a FSB, my car is stock, and the first thing I will do is get 255s with 9s all around and run the car like that until I can afford a suspension.

(toPilotSH) Really?... even though I have absolutely no understeer?... (01 AP1 with 82k miles on original suspension) im not doubting you, just curious as to how it will help.
some others (glagola1 and Mleach) said the suspension would net more gains. and I have heard that springs/shocks are the better route for tuning suspension than swaybars, so long as they are an option. I would like to hear your reasoning too since I am keeping an open mind and talking in everyone's opinions.

Yes it is. Why anyone would want to make the car 2" wider than it needs to be is beyond me.
You can't fit those wheels with a 255 on them and stay within ST rules. No trimming or flaring of fenders is allowed. No bumper tab relocation.

wider is always better, not sure why that is beyond you specifically.
