[QUOTE=glagola1,Dec 9 2009, 12:36 PM] Yep.

It's got a K+N to make nice noise and I'm revving to 8800 via flashpro.

Here's a vid of an event yesterday. The can and driver need some work but the car is about as fast as the STS CRX (maybe a hair slower).
Is it me or does that look very pushy, especially in the slaloms? I recall watching a video of you in an STS CRX at a Tour event, and that also looked pushy. Just curious if that's how you prefer to set up your cars.

I'm pretty sure that the AP1 will not be able to compete.
^^^ Boooo!!

I hope this is not the case, but I bet you are right. This might force me stay in stock for the big events, and run underprepped STR with just the wheels/tires for the local ones (to save on tire$).

63? Really? I guess the OD is significantly smaller than the 275 A6s I run on the CR. We get over 60 out of second on the stock rev limiter.
Tommy Pulliam couldn't believe how much more power the car had than his non-flashed 06.

I'm saying 63mph based off the datalog of the runs. The speedo might read something different. I'm not sure how people determine how fast their cars can go in a certain gear... maybe an on-ramp would do it.

^^I wouldn't complain about the 2nd gear top speed... thats about what AP1's rev to in 2nd as well...

im interested to see what I can get out of my AP1 once it is complete... worst case scenario, if I decide to start running at a national level down the line, and indeed the AP1 is not competitive, I could revert the AP1 to stock and move the parts to an 06+ AP2

It is very pushy and that makes me happy because of all the speed the car has to left pick up. Even with my less than stellar driving and the crazy amount of push, the car was as fast as my STS CRX (based on competitor relative data). That's the awesome part.

It was also fun as hell do drive.

The CRX was a bit pushy all year last year until August. The difference was going from 500lb springs to 450lb springs. That alone amounted to about .5 seconds on avg. That's what's so crazy about tuning. You really have to try a bunch of stuff and you have to be very sensitive to what the car is doing. Small changes can make small differences and without the luxury of having a bunch of fast, consistent drivers to baseline against, it's hard to see when your changes start to either improve or slow the car. It's also why the Atlanta ST crowd did so well at Nats. Tim/Bill found out their 225 Toyos weren't working when they started getting beat by a lot and I slowly found out that the 500lb springs weren't working when I could never manage to beat them.
Do you attribute any of the push to the 850 lb front springs?

According to the DL1 logs I had from running AS, 275's got me a top speed of 59.8mph on the limiter in 2nd. 63 would actually be a big improvement.

Yeah, yeah ... we already had this discussion, remember? We were seeing close to 61on a Max-Q and you argued a bunch of different logs and what not, but that is far outside the point here. For me, I wouldnt feel 63 but every mph can help! The benefit would be the availability much sooner and no need to downshift.
