Hey guys, I am looking at 06 LBP S2k with AP1 wheels and 12k miles.. It only has 1 previous owner.. The dealer opening price is 25k..

KBB suggested retail is 25k, nada is 20k, edmunds is 21k..
How much are you guys willing to pay for this car OTD?
Note, the car has AP1 wheel even though its an AP2 car.. How much can this affect the car cost?

Thanks in advance!
Cost of brand new OEM wheels is $2200. If you sell the AP1 16" on the car then you will likely get $300-400 for it. Im curious as to why it has the AP1 wheels on it. AP1 wheels are used to mount snow tires on AP2's. Check to see if car is running snows, and if it is check the underside for any signs of rust or corrossion.

Mileage is low...try to shoot for the Edmunds value in your negotiation.

Thanks for letting me know about that... Going to see the car today and check it out..
I am not sure why it has AP1 wheels, probably the previous owner like it more than the AP2 one.. By 21k, do you mean the OTD price or the price before tax, etc?

Hey Guys-

I'm looking for a clean S2000 for a second car / weekend AutoX warrior and I think I've narrowed it down to '04-07 (AP2 and within my price range)... I'm going to look at this car tomorrow at a local Toyota dealership, they have it stickered at $24K but I don't really want to pay more than $20K for a second car. Do you think it's realistic?

http://www.acuraofse...a~Model_S2000/1

Year: 2007
Mileage: 39273
Exterior Color: Gray
Interior Color: Red

Honestly, this is an autocross car and I'd like to get an '06+ because of DBW, which I'd prefer, but I don't feel any need to pay more for an '07 since it's pretty much unchanged... Hrmmm, the more I think about it, I should probably hold out for an '06 with fewer miles that costs less.

Do you think $20K would be reasonable for this car? In case I can't find exactly what I'm looking for, it looks relatively close - just a tad pricier

Thanks for your help!
Car looks in clean shape from the pictures. Carry a flashlight with you and check underneath to ensure everything is as it should be.

$20K is a decent offer. If I were you my walkaway price would around $19600-19750, but if the car is perfect and exactly what you need then just pay the lil extra. If this car was serviced at the dealership by the prior owner ask to see all the work that was performed on it. Make sure you take a nice long test drive as well to make sure it drives right. Inspect the cloth top from the inside and outside for signs of any wear.
Thanks a lot for the informative reply, it turns out the dealership already sent this car to auction so it wasn't driven up to the local Toyota dealership for me to check out today :-/ I'm going to go test drive a few different cars today to get a better feel for the market prices in the area. Thanks again!

I went and looked at a few more S2000s today and found a very clean 2007 model at a local dealership, I ended up making an offer for $22K over the phone tonight because there were no salesman there when I dropped by. The salesman called back and seemed receptive with the offer, said he handled the trade-in and thinks they are in it for around that much after new tires and repainting the bumper, and is going to take it to his manager tomorrow. I offered to let them keep the new tires since I'll be replacing them with AD08s immediately, so hopefully that helps sweeten the deal.

Exterior: Gray
Interior: Black
Mileage: 23K

I was very clean inside and out, there were some scratches in the paint in the rear quarter panel behind the passenger door and some nicks here and there from rock chips. Other than that, it seemed clean. The original rear bumper was removed and repainted by the dealership to get rid of scratches in the paint then reinstalled. The sticker price was quite high relative to other similar cars, although this car did have about 10k fewer miles on it. I've seen '08 CR models stickered nearly the same with just a few K more miles, so I think my offer is inline with what the car is worth. Similar '06-'07 S2000s that I've checked out this week have been stickered at $21K-$24K with 30-40K on them and they were also clean cars.

Think my offer is reasonable?

Thanks!

Sigh... My offer was accepted at $22.5K but it sold in the AM before I made it over to the dealership. I found a great 2008 CR but their bottom line price was $31,500 and I can't justify spending that much just for the CR package :'(

Just bought a 2005 Rio Yellow with 32K miles in better than average condition, for $15,300 from a wholesaler who bought it from a dealer on trade in Ga. Tires are due. Small hole in top. Normal scuffs on front lip. Clean car fax.
Very happy with the deal as I figured it to be a $17K car.

Hey guys, I found a 2005 with 64k miles for $15,255. 2 owners.

here is the cars.com link.

my ideal s2k would be a 2006 GPW with about 50k miles. Something like that this time of year would be around 20k easy. Assuming this checks out, this would be a great deal. I am just concerned that I am missing out on the VSA and other tweaks made to the 06 model. I mean they are easier to chip up and supercharge right? Would I really be "missing out" with an 05?

Thanks.

Hey guys/girls, I'm looking for an S2000 to purchase and I found a few, but need some tips on if it is a good deal or not.

Here is the link.

It looks like a good deal to me, but this would be my first S2000 so I wouldn't know.

Hey guys,

This is probably my first post. I'm currently looking at a 2006 Sebring Silver with 30000 miles. The car is about 2.5 hours away and from the looks of the pictures it is in a great condition. Clean Carfax/Clear Title. The guy won't do anything lower than $19500. What do you guys think?

THanks

Hey everyone, I'm looking at an:

06 Silverstone/Red/Black with a little over 31k on the odometer with a clean car fax and 2 previous owners. It's at an Acura dealership in Jersey and has sat there since May of this year. It's coming up close to three months of it sitting there and collecting dust, so I figured I would try to shoot for 20k...I guess before tax and all that? I haven't seen it in person yet since I just came across it and it's over an hour away from me, but from the pics it looks great except the driver's side seat may be a little beat up.

What do you think? Is it weird that I'm hesitant to post a link incase someone else might buy it?
