bought my 2005 that was perfect inside and out with 40K miles for 17.6K OTD.

Anyone buy an older S2000 with low miles?

I am looking at a 2000 MY silverstone exterior black interior with only 25 K miles.

garage kept, 2 owner, all service records, all stock.

Asking 15K. In the northeast area.

Seems high being that its 11 years old, but it does only have 25K miles on it.. Seems hard to spend that much on an 11 year old car.

Any thoughts?

the mileage is GREAT but 15K is way to much to ask for an 11 year old S2000. the owner should be willing to take AT LEAST 2K off that price.

another down side IMO would be the plastic rear window. the creases annoyed the ba-jesus out of me.

This is the car I was talking about:
http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/2411196939.html
Also on s2ki: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/870...top-condition/

The guy says supposedly a dealer will offer him close to $17,000 or so for his car. That made me laugh.

I asked a few friends who work at dealerships and they say he would get offered $11,000 to $12,000 on trade-in.

So shouldn't that car go for $14-15k private party?

the price can be lowered a couple thousand but it looks great man. it's nice that you get an upgraded head unit (a must for anyone who likes music at all in the S2000) and my favorite OEM S2000 rims.

Hey guys, I am looking at 06 LBP S2k with AP1 wheels and 12k miles.. It only has 1 previous owner.. The dealer opening price is 25k..

KBB suggested retail is 25k, nada is 20k, edmunds is 21k..
How much are you guys willing to pay for this car OTD?
Note, the car has AP1 wheel even though its an AP2 car.. How much can this affect the car cost?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Guys-

I'm looking for a clean S2000 for a second car / weekend AutoX warrior and I think I've narrowed it down to '04-07 (AP2 and within my price range)... I'm going to look at this car tomorrow at a local Toyota dealership, they have it stickered at $24K but I don't really want to pay more than $20K for a second car. Do you think it's realistic?

http://www.acuraofseattle.com/seattl...~Model_S2000/1

Year: 2007
Mileage: 39273
Exterior Color: Gray
Interior Color: Red

Honestly, this is an autocross car and I'd like to get an '06+ because of DBW, which I'd prefer, but I don't feel any need to pay more for an '07 since it's pretty much unchanged... Hrmmm, the more I think about it, I should probably hold out for an '06 with fewer miles that costs less.

Do you think $20K would be reasonable for this car? In case I can't find exactly what I'm looking for, it looks relatively close - just a tad pricier

Thanks for your help!

Car looks in clean shape from the pictures. Carry a flashlight with you and check underneath to ensure everything is as it should be.

$20K is a decent offer. If I were you my walkaway price would around $19600-19750, but if the car is perfect and exactly what you need then just pay the lil extra. If this car was serviced at the dealership by the prior owner ask to see all the work that was performed on it. Make sure you take a nice long test drive as well to make sure it drives right. Inspect the cloth top from the inside and outside for signs of any wear.

Cost of brand new OEM wheels is $2200. If you sell the AP1 16" on the car then you will likely get $300-400 for it. Im curious as to why it has the AP1 wheels on it. AP1 wheels are used to mount snow tires on AP2's. Check to see if car is running snows, and if it is check the underside for any signs of rust or corrossion.

Mileage is low...try to shoot for the Edmunds value in your negotiation.
