-Official- Is this car worth it thread - vol. 2
2007 NFR wth 103xxx miles. Top is immaculate. Overall condition is really, really good. Exterior has a few (<5) chips in paint from driving. Interior has usual wear on seats and steering wheel. Only thing is it has an a/f gauge that isn't hooked up, and the audio controls don't work, I suspect from the A/F gauge install.
Asking price is 15750. It's a little more miles than I wanted, but I feel it's in good condition. Haven't had a PPI done, yet. But no obvious issues from the test drive.

This car.
Owner said it has CEL on for primary and secondary O2 sensor, and front right headlight has humidity in it.
Front bumper needs some paint.
Have a friend that can get cheap pain work done for me.
Located in TN/AL.
Thinking about offering 8.5-9k. What do you think?

2003 Silverstone Metallic
46,000 miles, completely stock and un-modified with the exception of the eyelids which are easily removable (will be taken off ASAP)
Mature owner, clean seats, recently replaced soft top (with glass rear window and defroster). Asking $16,500, already verbally willing to go down to $15,000.
Haven't met with the owner yet or seen in person, so no idea how it drives. But owner didn't specify any existing problems as of now.
Seems to me like a complete steal, what do you guys think?

2002 Honda S2000
Black with red interior
113,000 miles - everything works fine, looks like it's in mint condition
Dealer wants $13,000, which seems high to me.
It has some ugly ass wheels on it, so I'm assuming it has some low-grade mods on it. This lowers the value quite a bit for me. But, assuming the carfax checks out and it runs cleanly, what should I offer? The car does appear to be very, very well taken care of - even the seats have no wear on them, everything is spotless, etc. Is $11,000 a fair price? Even I feel like that is high considering I just saw an 02 with ~70k miles going for $11,700 recently.

For $15,000 an AP1 without a hardtop should be pretty much perfect in my view--mine was in very nice shape when I got it, and I still paid less.

You are very welcome! What state are you located in, maybe it would be worth expanding your search area to find a better deal--I drove out of state to purchase mine. For example, I live near Seattle, WA, but overall I have found the prices of used cars to be a little more reasonable down in Oregon. Also, the longer you have to wait, the more likely you are to come across a good deal as you can always pass on any car you please.
With that said, the car sounds like it might be a fair purchase at $14,000 assuming that everything checks out ok, and while hard to tell for sure, it does look to be in good shape from the pictures. In the end, if you go home with whatever car you purchased with a smile on your face and everything checks out with the car (and you still feel good about your purchase), then I'd say you got a good deal

Sent you a pm of a car in very nice condition here on s2ki--I called in near mint, but I should have called it very good condition with just a few decent sized scrapes/scratches on the front bumper. It might be over budget, but if not it is worth the extra money unless there's a hidden issue I didn't notice. This to me would be worth the drive, but it might already be too late for you as it is probably lined up to sell. I imagine that car is as good as sold by now, but just an example of what can be found. Also its over budget, but worth the extra money.
Guess there's no need to hide the link, but this is an outstanding example of a nice car for a fair price--and here I feel you are really getting what you are paying for.
