I completely agree with Takashi!!!

Stock to stock, the WRX is faster off the line (of course!!) and probably 1st & 2nd gear.
The S2000 pulls back and passes in 3rd and 4th.

1/4 they are very close, with the S2000 being slightly faster, but pulling more, as it has higher trap speeds.

Mod'd however, WRX has far more options and mods that can and do make it far faster.
S2000 is far more restricted.

Seriously,
with just an exhaust and boost controller, my WRX can run high 13's...all else stock.

and no, i'm not biased solely to WRXs.
I do love S2000's and have a 00' S2k in Silverstone Metallic.

I go out to the 'meets', but usually in my del Sol, which I recently sold!

2) This subject has been beaten to death.
3) Stock vs. stock the S2K is both quicker, handles better and faster.

WRX has a weight-to-power ratio of 13.22 lbs./HP.

S2000 has a weight-to-power ratio of 11.70 lbs./HP.

You do the math. Yes, I know torque is greater in the Subaru, but the S2K still kicks butt. I also understand the quality on the WRX leaves something to be desired, as well.

Try not to be so 'S-biased' ! What experience are you speaking from? YOu raced a WRX before? straight line? twisty? track? ok...

The S2000 will be a better track car...
The WRX is a better road/rally car...
The WRX will ALWAYS outlaunch the S.
The S has a better top end.

yes the lbs./hp is in the S2000's adv.
but hello...the WRX has 217 torque while the S has 155...

don't speak S strengths without also considering its shortcomings...so one-sided..

stock to stock?
I raced mine...and I know how they drive...

The WRX always bursts out of the gate...pulls hard at first...but the power drops after like 6000 rpm..
whereas the S2000 comes alive AFTER 6000 rpm and pulls itself back and ahead by a bit in the 1/4..

A WRX with a modified turbo will rock a supercharged S2000...
There are a few WRX's running in high to mid 11's, and some more in the 12's...and it's only been out like 6 months...

The WRX is also easier to drive.

Still the S 'looks' far better if you ask me.
