The Reno also also charges the battery intelligently , the problem seems to be the “handshake” between car and power supply,, been talking to Myenergi , they had problems with several manufacturer’s who all resolved the issues , but typical French they didn’t want to join the rest of the world ! Reno did go to a Grimsby with a car and tech , Myenergi have also been over to Reno global HQ to resolve the issue hence update is on its way. The hardware shared with Nissan for the Ariya, and new Leaf works ok because Nissan didn’t ignore or misinterpret the recognised standard. Myenergi have been very helpful in all of this now been on phone with one of thier techs for hours changing parameters and even reverting to an earlier version of their firmware.
car is charged 100% at the moment we are off on a 200+ mile around trip today ! Oooh heck!

Well , did Soham to great Missenden and back with several detours in between and took the slightly longer route but quicker around M25 did around 225miles , arrived home with 20% left and most importantly no wife anxiety! Lol
messed about with the cruise control , Lane thing etc , didn’t touch brakes from Newmarket to the A41 , the lane thing is scary no hands and the car gets itself back on track and even vibrates steering wheel if u chose to ignore it. Impending collisions warnings are interesting to.
but all in all, a pleasant experience

What size battery does it have? I find my approach now is to bang along and accept it does feck all for economy, then stop and recharge, move my lumbar spine a bit and repeat
Off to York in it next week

My back gives me gyp sitting down for long periods but I must admit the seat was comfy and I didn’t feel to stiff. My view is the seat is very Germanic , fairly firm
that is my 3 yo, dealer scoured water based paint
It polishes easily though
The weather didn't help me or give decent light but I am pleased with the results, it was really pissing me off looking scruffy
Short break in York this week, my strategy lately doesn't include hypermiling, I aim to go about 80-90 mins then charge.
This got us to an Instavolt, their app sucks but tap and charge is perfect. My back was sore at this point so I would have stopped in anything without a massaging seat.
20 mins later we headed off with 56% charge (from 6% due to a couple of traffic diversions by Waze and an error on my part). Arrived in York and parked up.
Today (day 2) we will charge to 100% at the same location
<edit>
we didn't.. got bored at 95% as the charge rate drops off a cliff (from >40kw to low teens)
We would have made it back fine at that, even on the 91 mile diversion, but my high anxiety LSB insisted we boost on the M1. I think it was 11 mins of stretching to add 20% and we were off.. got back with c30% left iirc
I'm now at the point where I'm good with how it works. A little planning means I don't need an SUV with a huge battery..
Nina got stressed about a twat breaking in panic on NSL as a struggle buggy crawled off the slip road.. she was visualising our dog and child getting rear ended and in fairness that weaponisation of a car is something most mums seem to stress on.. the EV6 has higher scores across the board on this, being a tank
