According to Crower, you can run the stock valvetrain on his stage 2 cams, but you have to upgrade your valvetrain to run the stage 3 cams. Unlike the Toda cams, there's no mention of changing pistons to avoid contact...

Crower's cams are for both the F20C5 and F22C.

Also, according to Crower, there is a difference between AP1 cams and AP2 cams...

What does a retuned ECU cost from Amuse or Mugen? Would I be better off w/ a VAFC2, PnP Harness, and a dyno tune? I would think that a canned tune wouldnt do as well as a truely "personalized" tune.

But, what year(s) do the Mugen and Amuse work on? I have an 01 and didnt think there were reprogrammed ECUs out there for it.

Then what is THIS ?
Dear lord, the 2.47l stroker kit is available now, Has anyone installed this kit? Couple this with the stage 3 cams, improved valvetrain, and an EMS, and we could have ourselves a n/a monster.

That's where I'm eventually heading

After my ITB install and tune, I'm gonna go with stage 2 cams, a valvetrain upgrade (AP2 retainers, not Ti), and a spoon headgasket. A 2.47l stroker eventually, and maybe a swap to stage 3 cams, depending on the streetability. I want a solid 250 rwhp streetable w/o the stroker kit first.

The desired affect is not to have the VTEC hit hard as hell--the smoother the VTEC engagement the better the power delivery.

I agree, that's where tuning comes into play. Adjusting your VTEC engagement point to produce the most linear plot is up to your tuner, not the guy who makes the cams
