Version, I would note on the first post that in the dyno comparo, 2qyk4u is the only 2.2l, the rest of us are all 2.0's

Hey VersionJDM, what mods do you have to get 227whp? I have a t1r 70 power single, thinking about getting the new t1r header. I wanna see how I could get close to 230whp without biting the bullet and going F/I.

,

My setup:

KN drop in
custome made stainless 70mm headerback exhaust
vafc2 tuned(many,many, times, very well)

most of my power was unlock through tuning and with the exhaust too.

What did you dyno for your torue numbers at church. My04 made 240hp on his dyno, but the most surprising part was that it also made 170torque.
Highest I hit was 167 lbs.

Great numbers for stock, but I don't think the 04/05 dyno any more or less then the 06/07's. Your numbers are only a few away from mine, and seeing as how all dynoes are done on different days under different conditions anything can happen.

Church told me I had the best numbers out of the 04's he ever dynoed. Aparently I was the first he had seen hit 240 and first to hit 170. Then again I wouldn't doubt him saying similar things to every that comes in

Nice, so you'd easily be into the 230's with a header or a cai I'm guessing. I'm thinking about getting a vafc2 and getting it tuned after I buy a header and testpipe.

We'll see, as I said, F/I might be calling my name. But I love the sound and feel of a raw n/a machine. I woulda bought an EVO if I wanted boost. decisions, decisions.

^^^CAI's on this car are a total waste of money, unless you're going for looks. The gains are miniscule at best. Version and I both have tried other stuff, and as far as intakes go, unless you're a nut like me and go ITB's, the stock airbox with a K&N filter is about as good as you're going to get. Save the money from a CAI and get something else, like a comptech flyhweel, that you'll actually be able to feel a difference with.

WTF Church said the same thing about my '06 being the strongest MY06 he's seen as well! I'm willing to bet he tells that to every single one of his customers. I feel like such a cheap slut...

For what it's worth, the '06 did get a revised ECU compared to the MY04-05s so this could be a reason for the slightly lower numbers. But then again, dyno conditions vary day-to-day as well, so in the end the discrepancy doesn't matter anyway.

You need to get yourself back in an AP2..I'm still waiting to hear back from Hytech on their cams and header.
