Odd, I have yet to tear up the fender despite having 515lbs springs on the front and a gendron bar in the middle setting. I eat through the clips over a 4 month period but that is it.

I eat a clip or two every event in stock trim on street tires, even just on winding roads! With the chance of bending fenders and tearing tires, I think I'm going to set my bump stops so they compress a bit before the fender hits the tire.

I don't understand the fixation on fender issues but I guess I may be just used to it from running the STS CRX. That thing rubbed everywhere.... and so does my S2000 (except in the rear).

If it isn't rubbin, go lower. If it's rubbin but not too bad, go lower.

Just roll the fenders and push up the tabs then if it does rub, it won't hurt anything.

There's some mental state that you have to get beyond before you're willing to bend metal!
Bending the fender liner tabs is no big deal. My first event in STR trim I went through 4 clips so when I got home I just bent the tabs out of the way and now there is no more rubbing. I will probably lower the car some more once I get the better shocks on it next year.

You could always spend a few hundred bucks for fenders off of a wrecked car, then bend or rub on them to your heart's content...

My original inquisition on fender/tab rolling was this: if we go to great lengths to roll everything, can we avoid bending a fender or is it inevitable given enough time?

Venues that have crests/valleys:
E-Center (West Valley City, UT)
NT/Pro- Hampton Mills (Packwood, WA)
Blossom Athletic Center (San Antonio, TX)
NT- Gulf Greyhound Park (Houston, TX)

If you roll the fender, the tire will have nothing to catch on to. It will simply rub against the nice round edge of the rolled folder and the worst that will happen is the fender looses some paint where it rubbed.

On the front I am running:
+55 offset wheel
255 tire
~-2 deg camber (limited by spring perch touching upper a-arm, I have adjustable ball joints that are going on soon to get more camber)
13 3/8" fender height
650 lb/in spring
Stock '02 sway bar

No rubbing by cutting away protruding fender liner and bending back two tabs. Fender liner stays in just fine and I have only touched the fender when getting in to my driveway (full lock and 2 inch bump). No damage. I drove to Peru IN from MI no problem and did the Peru NT with no issues.

Bend tabs, no issue, imo.
