Spot on Nick, car wanted to break loose a touch early. I am pretty determined to make the car setup to where you can roll on the throttle as early as possible, and I will sacrifice in some areas to get there if I have to.
Have you tried disconnecting the rear bar?
It helped me a ton when on throttle. I get a bit of mid-corner push, but I will take that considering how aggressive I can be with the throttle.

I had a mid corner push issue when i first disconnected my rear bar, when I first got off the brake and transistioned to the gas I got push... TheNick reccomended more front rebound, and it really did a lot to reduce the push, it pretty much eliminated the push actually.

Bronx what spring rates do you run? I have only had the car for a few months now so have not had to much time to test (only one event so far). I would worry that disconnecting the rear bar could ruin transitions, but I plan on testing it to find out.

Gotta drive everything to see what exactly works.

I still have the setup mentioned above. The rear bar is really a preference thing.

I did not notice a big difference in transitions when I disconected the bar. My observation is the front end is the big deciding factor in transitions.

I only have singe adjustible shocks and found (thanks again nick!) that without the rear bar, the car likes a little more rebound up front. I also noticed needing more air pressure up front w/o the rear bar vs. with it.

My car is my DD also, so I do have some comprimise in the spring rate. I think that stiffer all around would be faster through transistions, but until I get another car for daily duty I'm not raising them. I find the balance near perfect for me with this setup.

This past week end I found that adding some rear compression also helped with mid/late corner push in slow/fast corners/sweepers. I was running with the rear bar disconnected for most runs. Attaching the rear bar (MX-5 ~125 lb/in) made a nice difference which on first run first corner caused over steer. Adjusted driving after that and it had decent balance for high and low speed. You can see a bit of push in high speed (~55 MPH) turn at 25 sec in the video, rear bar attached.

Comptech front bar on full stiff (~900 lb/in)
MX-5 rear bar (~125 lb/in)

Well unfortunately the OEM adjustment only gave me -2 degrees of camber. Hopefully this will be enough, but I suspect I will need camber joints before the Texas Tour.

Have another autocross this weekend, and David Whitener is co-driving with me. We will have 8 runs each, so I am hoping together we can get some of the baseline settings for the shocks done.

Man that is a huge, wide open course! Last weekend's course we had was super tight.

Miata took the STR class with almost a full second. Speedworksracing (s2k) beat him by a full second but picked up a retarded cone. I was 3 seconds behind them so I have alot of work to do.

All this talk of running without rear bars got me thinking of Steve Hoeschler (Xhead's) posts on mr2oc. He thinks that you should run no bars on any cars that are in classes with open springs.....He has kinda been kicking butt in dsp for years, won that nats in 2010 again......Not a bad read imo...here are some links....

His setup has been used on macjunk strut cars, I have been wondering if it would work on the s2k.... Any one tried running a setup close to his sugestions on here?
