It feels more firm and theirs no lag at all in a transition. Plus its set at one notch softer then perviously. So this is amazing! A better feel while using "less bar." I'm very happy with the feel of the car with these ball bearing mounts.
I ran into the same issues you did... except I had to sand off more than just the powder coating... I was sanding actual metal off the bar for about 2 hours... Then I was able to pound the bearings on to the bar... extremely tight fit. It was very frustrating when I went to test fit the bar and the mounts weren't aligned just right... I then measured the distance between the actual mount holes on the frame and then worked and moving the bearings back and forth on the bar until they were just right.

I also had the bolt issue and had to grind down the outside perimeter of the bolt in order to get it in...

Took me 4 hours to get these mounts installed. *sigh*

Anyway, there are some centering rings that come with the bearings that Gendron says to "Discard"... why? I would think it would be a good idea to put these on the inside and the two bolt onese he provides on the outside.

You only need one set of centering rings...a second would be redundant

Yes... I realize that only one pair is needed. However, it makes sense to me to put the other ones on... maybe just to help the bearings stay "more clean."

Any word on how much pressure the Hankooks like?
I'm going to be running on them for the first time at Dixie (I know, bad time to test tires, but I corded my Kumhos last weekend at a local event) and I'm looking for a basline idea on how much pressure to use.
Also, should I put any break-in miles on the tires, or should they be OK straight out of the gate? They have been run long enough to get the slimy molding stuff off them from the factory.

I run 40F/36-38R on the hankooks. I would also put a days worth of driving on the car just to scrub the tires in and get rid of the mold release thats on the tires.

I have to agree here. I am also running one less. Not sure if it necessary but the transitions changed enough that the car seemed to need less. Although I am swapping suspension so this could all change.

I run them at 35psi square with even wear across the tread. If you don't have good camber for the amount of roll control, you will need more pressure to prevent outer shoulder wear. Then +/- one way or the other to you personal feel.

That sounds probably close to where I will be.
For camber, I'm currently at -1.8F, and -2.5R. That was all I could get out of the front stock suspension.
On my Kumho XSs I was running 33F 36R. It wasn't wearing the outside shoulders very bad at all. Wear across the tire was very even, with just slightly more wear on the very outside shoulder.

I may start around 35F and 36R just to see what it does, and play from there.
I'm going to put a ~60mile trip on the tires just to clean them up a bit.

Basic set-up is no-rear bar, Saner front on soft, stock shocks and springs.

*edit: BTW, thanks everyone for the advice. Just looking for ballpark to get me started. Didn't want to have to play with car set-up at dixie, but oh well.
