S2000 STR prep resource
[QUOTE=sirbunz,Sep 13 2010, 12:56 PM] Not trying to start an argument or anything, just IMO...
A-stock (a class forced upon us based on all the feedback on various forums, membership, local meetings, etc) already threw the rules out no matter how they are written. I already wrote my letter of support for STR and think everyone who supports this class should as well. The overwhelming popularity for this class alone should trump all the rules making it prove it's worth before becoming an official recognized class. It was one of the most exiting classes to watch as well. Keeping control of these cars on street tires is simply amazing and entertaining to me.

Drew: This just says that the class will be evaluated with respect to points 1 & 2. It does not say that point 1 is mandatory, just that it is evaluated. While STR does not meet 1, it overwhelmingly beats 2.
So how could 4.8.A apply if you took all the cars listed in the Stock category, assigned them a number based on performance, then divided them into ten classes (instead of the current nine) with an equal number of cars in each class?
You have added a class. Which one is "new" and therefore has to run as Supplemental for at least 3 years?

Hint: it's not the one with the new name (I Stock). That class will consist entirely of cars that used to be in HS, so it isn't really a new class, just an old class with a new name.
For the sake of argument, assume that all the classes are renamed to S0 through S9.

How about a STR Setup Sticky Showcasing the top 3 complete S2000 setups at Nationals?
I'd like to see that... also, cause this thread is now 102 pages. Thank God I joined STR on page 48...

Of all the trophy s2000's there were 3-AP1, 1-05 AP2, and 2-06 AP2's, and 1 unknown. Anyone know what MY 141 Mike Casino was driving?
